You don't have to be professional to achieve fabulous look. In my case, it take me years to learn my face shape, what color suits my lips and how much to apply for blush on that will look natural and beautiful.




In my last post, I've shared with you the TIPS and TRICKS of using spoon in applying Eye Makeup. These time I will share something that will help my fellow beauty blogger and vlogger friends on how to end their agony with a clumpy mascara.

Recently, a friend of mine bought a mascara, problem is just for 2 days the mascara turn dry and sticky. I guess most of the girls encounter this kind of a problem, especially those who are vain in giving their eyelashes a highlight.

FIX YOUR DRY or CLUMPY MASCARA


Make Your Mascara Last Longer! by Tara ~~ on Trusper.



Eye Drops help softens the mascara liquid, compared to water it will cause your mascara to flake or smudge. Well,  this will not work if it is a waterproof mascara.

  1. 4-5 drops of any generic eye drops(but some prefer to use Visine). 
  2. Close it back up. A quick stir with the brush.
  3. And ready to use.

***BTW, you can also use any saline solution meant in storing contact lenses.




Mascara should be replaced every 3 to 4 months, but now using this technique you can use it longer and you can save money too!

Application:

As instructed, you can use it as a cleanser and a scrub.  If you are in a hurry, all you need is to lather onto damp face and rinse off  with water. Make sure you gently scrub your face avoiding the eye and lip area.

Or use it as a mask (if you are not in a hurry), by applying a thin layer to your face and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Rinse with clear water. Avoid the eye contour and lip area.

Or use it together, CLEANSER + SCRUB + MASK. Just follow instructions.

1st Day Use. 1st Week.


Call me ordinary, not chic Asian woman, but in terms of beauty I can never be a part from being so vain with beauty thingy and no matter how hard I try to stop myself from trying it nothing really compete my love to skin care products, so when Ms. Vanessa Mondragon(Aromacology Sensi CEO)  told me that she wanted me to try their new line of Deluxe Set of Cacao Body Care, I knew I have to give it a try. But as I said, it will take me some time to make a review of a product especially it concerns Skin Care.

I always on the look out of new ways, tips and tricks to glorify myself in the name of beauty. Finding that Cacao aside from an ingredients in chocolates, I was a bit astonished to find it as a quirky ingredients in a skin care products, like a CLEANSER, a SCRUB and a MASK!

This is not a joke! Yes, I'm sure some of you will have that raising eyebrow and find me stupid in giving a try of this product. Considering cacao have some serious skin benefits, I decided to take the product with me, use it and after that review it honestly.

I start using Cacao 3-in-1 last January 26, 2016.  As per instruction, leave it for 10-15 minutes. While the mask is on my face, I feel the itchiness and prickling sensation
penetrating my skin and a bit of skin tightening.

The Result of the 1st Day use for the 1st week:

SKIN REACTION after use : REDNESS + TIGHTENING + SMOOTHNESS

My skin certainly reacted with the cacao ingredients, which I guess means that my skin is moisturizes deep down and really nourishes the skin - that's why I feel the itchiness and tightening.

On the second day, I use small amount of cacao which might be the cause of too much itchiness and redness on my first day of application.


January 28
2nd Day Use. 1st Week. 

I never had thought about using Cacao all over my face, but because of my beauty enthusiast curiosity I am determined to see what will happened after the 1st week of using.


SKIN REACTION after use : MILD REDNESS + SKIN TIGHTENING + SMOOTHNESS

The results were pretty interesting. A mild redness surface my skin though itchiness is still there, but I am positive now that I get my expectation to have that younger and smoother skin.

Still willing to try the product for the third time, maybe itchiness will be gone. Thought the process of application maybe weird for the smell of the skin care is like a chocolate. Probably the tastiest and the smelliest face mask I've tried.

On my third day of application, I decided to use smaller amount. I want to experiment if I reduce the amount does the itchiness be gone.

You can see here in my photo that my mask is very light.


January 30
3rd Day Use. 1st Week. 

And yes! Reducing the amount use in the application itchiness will subside, you can still feel it when the mask is still in your skin but after washing itchiness no more but  the tightening and the smoothing of the skin is still there.

***BTW, since the face mask require 15 minutes to really work, on my second and third day of use I decided to leave the mask on a shorten time like 10 minutes, honestly I don't want to piss off my sensitive and unpredictable skin.


SKIN REACTION after use : A little bit of REDNESS
+ SKIN TIGHTENING + SMOOTHNESS

Honestly, it works. Itchiness no more! As you can see, Cacao 3-in-1 will make your skin tighten --- prevent anti-aging. Fast absorbing to reverse the roughest skin and improve the look of scars and lines, and make your skin smoother too!



Any dermatologist will confirm that this product works great, it permanently reduce the size of your pores ( at least in a natural and vegan way).

No filter added. No editing.

I used Aromacology Power Whitening Systemafter washing Cacao 3-in-1 and Aromacology Tint Lip Balm (product review soon).  

  
The Verdict:

'Till this day, I am still using Aromacology Cacao 3-in-1 Cleanser+Scrub+Mask, but I'm reducing the amount use to avoid itchiness.

The use of the product really help my skin to look younger, while my irritable and oily skin turn to moisten and smoother one, it really provide noticeable benefits in a way. Maybe my skin is still adapting to the product, I will  use it as my facial scrub every other day,  but not so much with the mask. Eventhough Cacao 3-in-1 doesn't contain preservatives or artificial colors, I'm a little wary about the result in the long run.

We have different skin type. Maybe for me,  using it too much will cause me too much itchiness and by reducing the use will help me get positive results - to have that smooth and younger looking skin.

Will I recommend? 

Yes, of course! If you're up for a try why not. Honestly, covering your face with Cacao is a great way to try something new and unexpected. At least you have tried the product and make a review too. Maybe it will work for you great without itchiness!


Suggestion:

For me, I will continue using it as much as I like the result. Yes, I like the result it helps reduce spots, stains, and after using it I can feel skin less oily and very bright. The only problem is the itchiness though it is tolerable, I still suggest for a better one that is good for a very, very sensitive skin.

Thinking about beauty in a deeper perspective, though it's funny to say, but for me beauty comes from within but need enhancement from the outside. TO PEEL or NOT TO PEEL

At first, I hesitated to try Face & Neck Skin Peeling, all I want is to experience there Diamond Peel Micro Dermabrasion, which I already have experienced with Doctor Joel Mendez as one of our major sponsors of Ms. Teen Philippines 2014-Davao search.

But because as I see my other colleagues try their peeling service, well, why not try it for a change. And Ms. Layno, give us assurance that it is a One Application Procedure and they use botanical peeling solutions from Blanqos Whitening System, which means that there's nothing to worry about, she will only apply peeling solution once in our skin and we will wait for days to make it peel.

The Skin Peeling using chemical is a very delicate procedure especially for sensitive skin. Well, I am in my late 30's and my skin is becoming more sensitive, and hearing it from the word "PEELING" it is a very harsh word to consider. And for what I've read, using chemical peel really have a very big impact in the world of beauty regimen. Some will look for a gentle and fragrance free products and/or spend a lot of money just to give justification to their beauty needs.

The main purpose of having a skin peeling, is to loosen and shed the surface layer of our dead skin cells effectively. And to have a more even complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines and hyper-pigmentation and to help stimulate collagen skin production.


SECOND SESSION: Removal/Peeling of Skin
February 27, 2016

When it comes to sensitive skin, as a general rule here, you should avoid using harsh aggressive stimulation, products that contain isopropyl alcohol, high level chemical products that might hurt your sensitive skin. In other words, the less ingredients the better. That is why after peeling, Ninét advice us to use Blanqos Ultimate Whitening System for 1 month and after that, we can go back using our regular beauty products.



Actually, Blanqos Whitening System is ideal to every skin types because it is botanical based product and safe to use. It allows the skin to become hydrated, plus it lightly exfoliates dead skin cells as a result you will have a smoother and brighter complexion.

This kind of peel is almost no side effects post-treatment. However, the next day I came back, as I experienced itchiness, mild flushing and redness of skin. According to Ms. Monique it is normal to feel light tangling sensation, itchiness, some mild flushing and redness of skin.


THIRD SESSION: Removal/Cleaning/ Application of Anti-Irritation Cream for skin sensitive.
Here, you can start using  Vitamin E, Sunblock and Honey Facial Wash.

Ms. Layno advice me, in order to avoid itchiness and redness, I will continue my maintenance without the toner just for one(1) day (March 1, 2016). I follow her advice and it works great!

Another thing that works with me better, is to use the Blanqos Facial Toner and stop using the Ninét Basics Face and Body Toner  for six(6) days and after six days I go back and use alternately the two toner.



Why did I stop using the Ninét Basics Face and Body Toner for 6 days?

As I continue using both the Ninét Basics Face and Body Toner and Blanqos Facial Toner I feel more uncomfortable using the both toner, because for me too much absorbent of toner is indeed a bad thing! Toner is terrific to refresh our skin, but toner can also strip your skin of natural facial oil make it rebound --- producing more oil and more acne. That is why for better result, I alternate the two.

Beauty in Japan is a serious business, as for told to us by Chairman Hideki Ota of Be-ing Suites Davao during our PR Social Media Blogger Invitation.

 When decided to put up a training school here in Davao City, his only aimed is to introduce the Japanese art of hair styling by training Filipino hairstylists; housing both Japanese trainers and Filipino students at the same time offering future job opportunities in Japanese salons abroad. But the idea changes, as the management decided to open up its doors to business travelers and tourists. Read more HERE.


Before I divulge my beauty experience, let me tell you a brief idea of what a Japanese Hair Salon based on what Mr. Ota explained for, why 'Beauty Salon' in Japan is different to Western salon or any salon here in the Philippines.

A Japanese beauty salon approach is a combination of a kanji character with both "graduate school" and "hospital". The Japanese hairstylists outpaces the Western handling of hair treatment, typically because in a Japanese salon you will expect a thorough scalp massage and drink service + shoulder and hand massages and in-depth style counseling.

All of these, I agree because I've experienced it during my session at the Be-ing Suites Salon.


Be-ing Suites Salon - The place is awesome! So spacious and clean. The suites itself is energy efficient and environment-friendly.

The first day session, I get a Hair Treatment from Be-ing Suites Salon trained staff. And yes, I am very, very happy to get a thorough shampooing. Well, it's pretty common with all the other salon to get a service like this, but the only different is Japanese hair salons give ample attention to your scalp.

Using the Automatic Shampoo Machine, designed to provide comfort to customers especially pregnant and senior clients. And Hair Products all are from Milbon Inc., the No. 1 distributor of hair products for salon in Japan.




Sounds weird, but surely you will appreciate how the staff spends many minutes massaging your scalp and identifying problem areas.

In my case, I really had a problem with dandruff. Good thing that the staff ask me if there's any areas that are itchy or sensitive, so that while massaging  my scalp,  she will also do the scrubbing sending tingles down my spine. A massage which you only experience when you are in the bedroom. So relaxing and refreshing!

***By the way, they used Warm Water in shampooing hair and massaging your scalp.


HAIR COLOR APPLICATION



A hair color chart ideas for deciding which shades to pick. That will help match your hair type to the style you want.

And because I have a colored hair, they do is to correct the color better.

CORRECTING COLOR



For 45 minutes, correcting my hair color, they wrap my hair and waited for another minutes.



And after 25 minutes, they wash my hair and massage my scalp again.

You will see here on my before picture that my hair color is drastically different. It's not properly distributed.

BEFORE

The end result is a mix-combination of red and yellow,  but now with a few fixes, my colored treated hair is perfectly distributed.

AFTER

And little bit of wavy hair to give volume and to Make a Dramatic Change.

Aside from having an automatic shampoo machine for the hair & scalp, they also have for the nails - The JAPANESE NAIL SHINE.


A Japanese Manicure using Triple Glad Super Shine, the shine will last for 2 weeks.


 First use the SMOOTHER to buff and smooth the nail plate.


Remove the dust and dirt from the prepared nail plate, during the process of polishing, small pieces of debris can make the shine uneven.

Using a buckskin buffer already have a beeswax paste and talc powder ingredients that make your nails shine.


Lastly, you can put primer (optional).

I suggest that wifi should be 'accessible' as soon as they are inside the salon - no need to ask for a password.
  2. as soon as the clients get inside the salon they can make update & post pictures -- This is another way of promoting and attract new clients! what happened is that we need to ask for the passwords, this will Just add workload to the front desk & manager, instead of ASSISTING and giving inquiries and details to customers, they are all distracted if someone tend to ask for the password again and again.

All in all I really have a total hair pampering. I was amazed with the service and as I said I am greatly satisfied with my hair. A good excellent service and a BIG SHOUT OUT to the Jing Monis Creative Team.

    I AMindanao young rising fashion stars introduce their STELLAR perception of local fashion in the road to global destination, an inclusive platform for a fashion and design competition that combines design ideation and business incubation.     Whew! I've been away from reviewing product line that long!? Got busy when my other sites, PAL RAINE and ANYTHING ABOUT DAVAO in posting press releases and giving information for Davao people. I had a quite makeover and treatment from them, what I like with the brand is that they use 98% made in raw materials like herbs, flowers, and fruit extracts plus their skin care products are best for Asian's sensitive skin and it is a BFAD approved product!

    Aromacology MAGIC CUSHION



    Magic Cushion become a fad via the list of awesome Korean Beauty Products, but to tell you the gist they are literally cushions soaked in BB cream ( known as "blemish balm" or "blemish base") inside a compact, paired with an applicator puff.

    The formula in the Magic Cushion is apparently same as that of a bottled foundation but what makes it magic it all comes with collagen extract that restores skin elasticity, giving it a smooth, supple appearance combined with hamamelis and bamboo extract that soothe and hydrates skin.


    Another thing is the blue applicator puff that comes in a compact, it is a non-absorbent.

    Yes! A non-absorbent puff. Sound confusing? Right? When we used old sponge puff it absorbs the makeup and expels the content to our face with pressure is applied. And you need to blend the the puff to distribute it evenly to your face.


    While the special blue puff has minimal absorption to give your face a flawless, dewy glow. Just pat onto face!

    The excellent coverage leaves skin flawless, refined and photo finish, concealing the signs of time left on fine lines and discolorations with SPF 50+/PA++.

    THE EXPERIENCE

    Filipinos and most of the Asians are obsessed with lightening the skin. There are many that love and embrace their natural skin color, it's just a matter of choice. Here in the Philippines, there 3 ways in lightening and making our skin to glow: the Papaya soap, IV Glutathione and Magic Cushion.

    It was my first time to use a magic cushion, but I already read a lot of positive reviews from different brands. Actually, I'm planning to buy online, but because I see the poster of Aromacology Magic Cushion I have to change my plan.

    I tried the magic cushion. As for the after results, I did not notice a sudden change to my face skin tone, but I did notice that wrinkles did not occur on my face, skin was smooth, moisturized and glowing! Then after 10 minutes, I've notice that my face lightens.

    It was the country's top hair professional and TRESemmé Hair Guru Jing Monis who reveal to us an information about Philippine Next Top Model audition here in Davao and another "Next Top Model" program to be held here in the Philippines during the Media/Blogger Hair Pampering at Hair Philospohie by Jing Monis at Abreeza.




    The Philippines' Next Top Model is a Filipino reality competition where a number of women competed for the title of the country's "next top model".

    It is a local version of Tyra Banks' model search program, America's Next Top Model .

    There are 14 contestants in the 1st Cycle and it was won by Grendel Alvarado of Bacolod.



    The show did not continue for a second series.
